read it right>left, then up>down just like a normal comic to avoid confusion.

Also I'll take a few more requests, then I might start a multi-tutorial project

Thanks for the tut.

You just use a different setting for the hues on hue/saturation. Play around with it, you'll find something.

Nice. This can be used in both Photoshop and Paint.net correct?

Reply Waffle, October 14th, 2008, 2:14 pm

Yeah, it could be used on both, much like almost all tutorials here

Nice tutorial, but I find you get the same effect by recoloring the bottom layer sprite the color of the aura, and then doing the Gaussian Blur of 20 Pixels. You get the same effect, just a lot quicker. :D Also, to get it to look even better on Comic Panels, you can play around with the Glow effect. I find an effective formula to be Radius of 14, Brightness 16, and Contrast 10. :)

Can you change it so it doesn't have to be golden?

Reply SMFislikehere, May 23rd, 2009, 10:23 am

It didn't work.

You know, I only have Photoshop (Which I don't know why I would say 'only, as it costs money... Not saying I paid for it), but wouldn't it be easier to just color the dupe layer to the glow color and THEN blur it?
